I'm sure we've felt the tremendous presence of God in the Stadium.I felt lifted after the msg.Not just because Mark Conner was an incredible speaker,not just because the sermon was fabulous.But because through it all,the entire msg..God was with me..It was truly a word for me as i was struggling with negative thoughts during the past few weeks and nothing,really nothing can make me feel better even i've talked to a few people.So i'm really glad that He knows all the problems that I'm facing.He knows and He's nv given up on me and despite the let down of some people in my life.God's unconditional love never let me down and for that I know i can count on Him..

and im thankful for you wonderful beings in my life..

First of all,this is a a post that i just wanna rant everything out here instead on my blog

Im thankful for God presence,Holy Spirit guidance in things that happened this week.
Sometimes i really feel like the devil is trying to take away the happiness that God has given to me,especially more this week.
he seem to be taking away everyone i trust.I've this constant battle in listening to what the HS is trying to guide me and bring light to the problem i have yet the raging emotions in me that will not allow positive things to happen.I know this is so wrong,Yes yes,i'm under immerse stress that i'll think i'll probably lose it should anyone says something wrong.

My faith has been tested time again and again but i think this round i'm pretty wounded,I don't want my faith to be like a passing shadow,that quickly comes and go.I'm sure all of us feel this way sometime somehow,just wanna encourage you guys to keep fighting and do the opposite of what the devil tells you to do.

You know,each time i climb higher up in my spiritual ladder,the devils hits me harder at all places.My school,home,relationship,emotions.Sometimes,i really feel like giving up,feel like just throwing everything to one side and cover them up.But i'm gonna make sure he lose every battle he tries to take out with me.

Job 23: 10-11
'But he knows where I am going.And when he tests me,I will come out as pure as gold.For i have stayed on God's path;I have followed his ways and not turned aside.'

ahh,ok..I don't know if you have any idea what i'm talking about but at least the verse makes perfect sense.

Someone once said - what you will become 5 years from now will depend on 2 things -

1.the books you read

2.the people you hang out with

As part of investment to our personal and spiritual growth, i wanna encourage you guys to cultivate the habit of reading regularly, and i dont mean your archie comics or your school textbooks or just the bible. I refer to good books that you feel can change your mindset or boost your confidence or just simply inspire you to become someone better. I try to read at least one book a month and i cant describe how this has revolutionalise my life. As an additional step, i also write down quotes or sentences from the book which i find meaningful and often review them.

You can try doing so too.

So... im starting this new series of post called "Now Reading". This is where we share with each other the books we are currently reading and why we recommend them. You can post them up with the picture preferably and a short description of it. And if you are stratching your head now, then its time to visit your nearest national library and borrow some wholesome books to read!

Right, so to kick start, my current reads are ...

A wonderful real estate friend, Jamie recommended this book to us.

For a working person like me, this really helps me to find perspective in prioritising my time, balancing work-life and achieving excellence at work. It serves to remind me that in all i do, God is my CEO, my boss, my lao-ban, my paymaster.

Highly recommended for working pple! :)

Of cos this doesnt apply to most of you. But i dont want to take my next phase of life for granted. So we read and read and read... we have abt 3 such books.

My point here is to read something that will help you gain knowledge in a particular aspect that you wanna improve on.

So... lets invest in your lives and in each others' lives. If you are currently reading a book that is a blessing to you, do share it with us here. If you are not, stop procrastinationg, pick up reading as your habit soon, you wont regret it. Lets all be well-read people, shining God's glory!

The place is really not bad for a $11/2hrs with drinks that are about $2-4 for the honey lemon/milo etc..and we paid only $6/person compared TO KBOX which is like 4x of what we're paying.Song choices are to me = kbox cause i don't sing many chinky songs!hahaha,and diana and the guys got all the choices they want so its pretty much the same as kbox(minus the bass prob) but still can sing right?Lol

anyway,it was crazy..the In The End was wicked.hahaha..omg,the video is a little blur but i think still can hear you jajabings..and the laughter is i dunnoe which retard..LOL!!hope danny had fun too!

Walk the talk.

Let's walk the talk. =) Wondering what is it about? Read on.

Well, it's about yesterday's cellgroup. When Zoe asked each of us to share, with the person beside, about what spoke to us during the message. So there I went, sharing with Benny, about the "familiar spirits". What I highlighted to him was something that's gotta do with feeling of the same burden, troubles & worries.

Quoting from Zoe, the familiar spirits will always know which button to press to "crash" us. In order to protect ourselves from such "crashes", we must be discerning. Remember that we have surrendered all to Jesus, we must not bear the burden upon ourselves again. It is by God's grace that we are set free.

These familiar spirits, can come in different forms. What I shared with Benny, I told him that his condition of the stomach would be the target where the familiar spirit will attack. It will, time and again, challenge and test his faith in God. If he succumbs to it, it will only hinder his walk with God.

In our daily lives, we must learn how to identify these spirits. Only this way, we'll be able to progress and go up to the next level. It'll come in different forms at different times, be it emotionally, physically, mentally and even spiritually. By successfully identifying them, we are then able to guard ourselves against it. Of course not depending on our own strength, but by God's instead. Pray strongly to build your "spiritual muscles". So, what's next?

Let's declare our faith in Christ! Okay, after this statement was made, something struck me. It was something that I recalled during the meeting with Bro. Darren at Riverwalk. By declaring, it means you should be vocal as well. Call upon the name of Jesus, show your desperation and desire for Him. Being vocal means we'll have to say it out in words. Say, "Jesus! I need You!" or "I love you Jesus! Fill me with your Spirit!"

Speak and mean it. Do not think of how others around you might think cos this is your own personal encounter and cry for God. Fight for it. =)

Receive God's strength to overcome these "familiar spirits". Receive forgiveness and grace and now, the moment you've been waiting for... Loose that area in your life! Whatever you bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven, whatever you loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven. =)

Finale - Cast it out. Out of your life. Be strong and now, you've trained yourself up another level against these "familiar spirits".

Just wanted to share my personal realisation. By sharing, I've reinforced what I've learnt. Therefore, do share what spoke to you personally too, ok?

Yesterday was the first. It was physically and mentally draining, totally. I never thought it was so tough, trying to get "it" out of me. I never thought it would happen to me.

The whole process was rather scary, at least personally. I had no idea how it feels to have something casted out of you. Years and years of hidden resentment, maybe to the extent of hatred, was casted out. It shouldn't have taken a hold onto me in the first place, but due to the fallen nature of Man, we hold grudges and we remember wrong things that people do to us. It can be family members, friends or even strangers. It's another scary thing to know that we can contain so much until we can't fulfil our destiny in God. Up to the point where it cripples our very own being, not being able to unleash the potential that we have in us.

I'm thankful that Pastor Mike came yesterday. I'm thankful that my God is real. I'm thankful that even right there at my seat, I was able to receive the healing and restoration. I'm thankful that spiritual Mama was beside me to encourage me to win the battle, right at the spot where I was seated. After THE encounter, I was totally blank. Just wanted to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere and see my surrounding. All the screaming and manifestations, I know God wanted me to look at His doings.

Psalm 18 : 32 - 33

"It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places."

He wanted to let me know that my roller coaster ride in the Kingdom of God has just begun and the best has yet to come.

A Worthy Battle

Pastor Mike today was really good and im so blessed with the word that he shared that I wanted to come home and share what i thought about it.

Yes Yes,not all of us manifested just now but I'm sure what Pst Mike told us just now and what Diana shared during cg is so important.
God is a God of healer and we often go through many disappointment and hurts that affects our life and how we see the future.

We do have bad experiences in our past and up till now,we still have this negative mindset on what happened and how you see/feel problems is based on this fact that you were hurt before.You know,God wants to free us of our limitations because we followers of Christ are called on to glorify God and do our best to be more Christ-like.Hurt is inevitable when people say or do things intentionally/unintentionally to you.Like what Pst Mike said restore the relationship with the person before the seed of bitterness in our life growns into a tree full of hatred and unforgiveness.

Eph 5:15-18
So be careful how you live.Don't live like fools,but like those who are wise.Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.Don't act thoughtlessly,but understand what the Lord wants you to do.Dont be drunk with wine,because that will ruin your life,Instead be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Also,seek God for the peace and restoration of relationship in areas where you've been hurt/disappointed in.

Col 3:15
And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts.For as members of one body you are called to live in peace.And always be thankful.

Pst Mike also made a statement which i believe many of us has heard of it before but whether when the situation does arise,do we apply the thinking that we are taught?
It goes something like this'For the respond you give towards the situation,it can make you miserable or I can choose to be an overcomer of the problem and take it as an opportunity for you to grow as a stronger person,to make you someone better on the inside of you.

Guys,though the service has ended but let's continue to look into our hearts for any anger/resentment that is still hidden deep in our lives and ctd to meditate and pray on the WOG to free ourselve from the devil that is trying to pull us down every single day.

So,keep fighting this worthy battle that we have and persevere through!

Hi guys, our cg blog needs a revival!! Ok i confess i havent been posting much too. Lets try to post at least once a month each ok? And get those who only posted once to post more.. like erm.. you know who you are.

Guys, just wanna let you know that im very proud of all of you for the love that you have for each other. You guys are always looking out for each other, asking abt each other's well-being and going beyond your inconvenience to do things for each other. I am proud to be your spiritual mama!! :) I can just sit and think of all the neat things you guys did.. of how you guys took initiative to make the Fathers' Day card for your spiritual "grandpapa" (Bro Darren.. haha) without me pushin you to and then running around Hall 1 trying to hunt for grandpapa to personally pass him the gift.. of how you all offered to pray for mama when i was really sick.. of how everyone of you took time and effort to come early to prepare for sister (Yuling) 's farewell bbq..

You know few weeks back, Pst Robb spoke about the power of distinction. I really feel that our cg's distinctive point is our love for one another. Genuine pure sisterly/brotherly love. This is our W429 culture, and it will be something that sets us apart from the rest. And I believe as we use this distinction to reach out to our world and show them the same kind of love and care, we will able to see our friends blessed and realise what a great GOD we serve.

So guys, though we may not have seen the breakthru yet, it doesnt mean its not coming! in fact i believe its coming. Lets not lose heart, fix our eyes on our target (15 by August) and keep on keeping on. Lets continue to love and pray for our adopted frens and show them our distinctive!

You guys rock! Thank you for being a part of my life and showing me how to love the way you do! hugs!

yst's lesson on 'Faith towards God' really made me think hard that we've all the prayers that we've been praying for.Do we actually think by faith that it'll happen?Speak with faith and think with faith.
Some christians i know say they pray,they pray for good results for healing.and before they do their exams,there they go saying 'fail alrdy la' or 'die alrdy'.
Then why do we pray to God when u don't accept the blessings that He has alrdy given us.

Praying is one thing but praying and believing with faith iss another.
and the story about a man who went to heaven and he saw a big warehouse and asked Jesus whether he cld go in bt Jesus said better not for he might regret what he see.bt he insisted,so Jesus let him and when he went in,he saw many many many rows of boxes.
And he asked Jesus,what are those?Jesus replied,our names are inscribed on every boxes and he ask Jesus to take him to his own bt Jesus still said better not for u'll regret what u see bt the man still insisted and when he was there,he asked to open the box bt Jesus still said he's going to regret ands since he insisted,Jesus allowed.
So when he opened,He saw all the promises that God has given to Him,all the promises that He didn't prayed for and he cried and cried and went to open up other's boxes and he saw limps,eyes,arms.and Jesus said these are the promises that God has given to you and because many didn't pray and believe about it.They never got to receive it.

I'm sure we all have this box in heaven and God have already given us the blessings that He know we'll be needing them but all that He ask is faith and prayers and trusting in Him.
Guys,there has to be a W429 box and in there we'll have new friends,new revelations,new strength and breakthrough to grow us.
So guys,He wants us to to seek and reach out to Him.Let's ctd to pray,speak, and think in faith for God has already given them to us.

anyway, i immersely enjoyed my Church day.

firstly it was B.darren's cell-group!
can't believe how many of us took quite some time to think of what we are blessed with and set apart from other non-christian believers. actually it is kinda tricky coz perhaps non-christian believers have them too? but seriously, i think it is the spiritual eye to be able to see and acknowledge the supernatural things in our lives and the grateful heart that set us apart as well.
we should all be able to like 2 seconds know what we are blessed in and how presence of God exists in our lives.

ok, to summarize for those who wasnt able to come for cell-group:

knowing (or having bible/head knowledge) of the presence of God is different from experiencing the presence of God
in the old times, there were 2 tablenacles. Acts 15:15
one was of David and the other of Moses
tablenacle= dwelling place of God = church
presence of God dwells in objects like in the ark of covenant which is placed in the holy of holies
HOWEVER, it is different now. presence of God exists in human beings instead of objects. 1 Cor 6:19 "Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.."

Recognize the Presence of God

Was there something that has happened to you that other people do not experience, as a Christian?

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS to Kelvin for finally ORD-ing today, 7 March 08! You have come a long way and gritted your teeth thru the challenges.. and now freedom! We're proud of you for making it!

Second, Yuling just received her A levels today as well! Thank God for those subjects you have improved on, and continue to work hard! Congrats for moving up on more level towards being a university undergrad!! :)

Third, Our faithful and humble usher, Wenlong will be away in Thailand from 7-17 Mar and Taiwan from 7-23 Apr. Do keep him in prayer...

Brudders' Connect Group Outing!!!

Hey all W429 peeps!

I've been given the task of uploading the photos of today's gathering cos' I had the best camera in a phone. Wahahaha! :) So, I'll just give a short summary of the happenings for the day as well!

Kelvin and I woke up quite early to set off to Dhoby Ghaut an hour plus before the scheduled meeting time at 12 pm cos' he wanted to go to the arcades first. It's been ages since I've last been to the arcades and it was refreshing for a change.

Time flies quickly when we were having fun and Wen Long had reached Dhoby Ghaut after awhile to meet us. GV at Plaza Singapura was extremely packed with movie-goers, so we decided to go to the much more peaceful Grand Cathay.

After booking out tickets, we headed out on the streets to source for good food to satisfy our tastebuds during lunchtime! We settled for this Hainanese chicken rice store, and wasted no time and ordered our meals!

After a satisfying time of fellowship over lunch, we went back to Grand Cathay for our next program of the day... LAN gaming!!! We only had a short 1 hour of playtime cos' our movie starts in awhile, but it was a good time to relax and settle down, esp. after lunch when we need some time to digest our food. :)

Kelvin and I had yet another craving for Ya Kun's kaya toasts and eggs (lol), so we headed down to the Basement for a time of tea break before the movie. Wen Long was also tempted to buy some toasts! You can see for yourself how Wen Long enjoyed his kaya toasts...

Wahahaha... Well, after indulging in delicious kaya toasts and half-boiled eggs, Jun Wei finally reached Grand Cathay after visiting his god-ma for CNY. How can seeing a movie be complete without the presence of the 'movie king' himself? Rofl... :D

We promptly went to the cinemas and sat down comfortably in the movie theatre in anticipation of the highly acclaimed Jay Chou's newest directorial offering entitled 'Kungfu Dunk'. Wen Long is a HUGE fan of Jay Chou, and well, as u guys know, Kelvin and I love to sing his songs alot, so, seeing him on-screen brings a relatively new perspective of his talents, and better appreciate his talents in other aspects besides merely singing.

The movie ended quite crappily (haha), but we were overall entertained and left the movie theatre with relatively positive reviews. After the movie, Kelvin had to buy something for Debbie from Carrefour, so we accompanied him. However, following which, we were at a loss for what to do next, and we just wandered... and wandered... around the shopping mall!

Wen Long had to leave earlier cos' he had promised his parents to have dinner with them, so that leaves Kelvin, Jun Wei and me. After a moment of comtemplation, we decided to head over to a snookerium to play some pool! Similarly to the arcades, it's been donkey years since I've played pool, so I stumbled a little at the beginning, but gradually picked up towards the end to compete better with the pool 'mastas' Jun Wei and Kelvin. Haha! =)

Look at how intense Jun Wei is at the game, and the pose he strike definitely shows the makings of a pro-pool player! :P We ended the day after an hour plus of pool, and we bidded farewell to Jun Wei when he alighted at Dhoby Ghaut to return to his home sweet home...

The outing was great and I hope there'll be many more to come! Just a big thanks to Kelvin for taking responsibility for his role as Connect Group Leader, and for Wen Long and Jun Wei for making all these happen! Let's continue to strengthen our brotherly bonds and stand for one another in the gap!

There's been discussions about organising a Kbox outing for a 'combined' Connect Group outing, and I know some ppl in the CG can't wait to lay their hands on the microphone and sing their lungs out! :) Kelvin is particularly enthusiastic, so it's up to you sisters to set a date suitable for your schedules! Cya guys tml for service and get ready for an awesome time of CNY visitation tml! :D

Hello everyone! Happy Chinese New Year's Eve! I'm so enjoying this good break from work and I hope everyone is in the joyful festive season as well! Do spend quality time at home helping out with the da shao chu and the tuan yuan fan later on tonight!

Of course, how can I forget? Our cg tua yuan fan and bai nian that is taking place this sun 10 Feb. Here's the latest NEW updated itinerary:

10am-12pm: W429 family goes to church service at expo

1230pm: Arrival at Yuling's house to add on to the festive atmosphere there. Lunch kindly provided!! :) ( Yuling's extended family will all be there, pls be good and nice to everyone!! :P)

115pm: The family now embarks on Journey to the West

230pm: NEW!! Arrival at Anxian's place, rare chance! must go!!!

330pm: Family now proceeds to Benny's Residence to check out his "messy room". :)

430pm: The family moves on to next destination not too far away - Kelvin Pte Ltd. Can't wait to bai nian to his mum and make her really happy.

530pm: Family proceeds to the palace our pretty Debbie grew up in. Her mum will be awaiting our arrival so lets really make her day. Also, looking forward to see her 2 cute malteses.

630pm: Family prepares to leave for a tuan yuan steamboat dinner at the "bistro" (actually.. is coffeeshop la) near Debbie's palace. Debbie's mum will also be joining us. Spread to her our w429 family spirit. :)

8 till late: Phototaking and free and easy time!

Fortitude!

Whew, after spending 12 full hours over 3 days on a single lab assignment, I successfully coded my program! The wisdom of God must be on me cos' it was a very tough assignment, I'm really lousy at programming, and I've got more than a month's rust cos' I neglected revision for the whole semester break. :S CNY is coming, and the workload has relaxed a little (not for long!), and I've not contributed significantly to the CG blog yet, so I guess there's always a time to for a brand new start. :)

I've just did my quiet time over the message by Pastor Tan last service about fortitude, and it reminded me of my situation for the past one year or so. It seems like I'm facing persecutions in every phase of my life. After two gruelling years in NS, I'm immediately hit by a chronic uncurable illness, and I had to suffer through this even as I entered university, coupled with new problems of study stress and another chronic headache problem.

At times, I really felt like giving up and even wanted to blame God at certain junctures, cos' I really couldn't take it no more. Yet, time and time again, God reminded me of His goodness and that I should rely on His supernatural covering, instead of focusing on my problems and attempting to solve them using my own strength and abilities.

So, to me, this message is like a revelation and exemplification to the feelings which I felt so strongly over the past year, giving me a better understanding of God's words to me. 1 Peter 1:6-9 specifically jumps out to me, asserting that God will not pose a trial too hard for us to handle, and that by molding our faith AND fortitude, we'll emerge stronger than before.

I frequently find my faith and fortitude faltering when I get a relapse of my illness. After garnering valuable revelation from this message, I'll be sure not to have the old mentality and put on God's mentality.

I also remember Psalm 23, a Psalm of David, declaring his steadfastness in God despite the trials he was and would be going through. The transition from a third-person view to a first-person view "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;...", is a valuable insight that we should rely on God all the more when we're facing tribulations, instead of distancing ourselves from God and find ways and means to solve our problems using our own strength.

By the way, I want to take this opportunity to thank u great peeps, brothers and sisters alike, for praying for me and showing care and concern for the past 1 year plus. I really appreciate it! :)

Guys, no matter what circumstances you're in now, always remember this message about fortitude.
1) Embrace God's purpose in your situation
2) Nurture your spiritual roots
3) Direct your attention to Jesus Christ (God)
4) Use your experience to help others
5) Rely on God's power

That's all from me, for now. :D I'll be looking forward to our first connect group outing, coming up soon to see Gongfu Dunk lolx. I'll be more than willing and available to help my best buddy, Kelvin, with his new appointment as Connect Group leader, to make this outing a success!

Janet Yang: Told in the eyes of me (your leader and friend)

The girl sits quietly at the back of the room as the Word is being shared. Occasionally she smiles in response, most times she listens on silently. This is Janet, told in the eyes of me. :)

I have not had the chance to spend much time with her, but each conversation we have is quality time to me. Janet is a girl who may look tough on the outside, but deep within I see a girl with a good heart. In the midst of my busy life and commitments, leading the group can be challenging. However, she has, on more than one occasion, made me feel that my work is all worthwhile. Not that she has done anything earth shaking or mountain moving. But simple acts of kindness on her part is enough to make me love this gal.

Who is the one, who, seeing that my hands were full, offered me a seat in the train? Who is the one who, while everyone couldnt take their eyes of the movie screening, willingly offered to help out in preparing the cg refreshments? Who is the one who, came and apologise for being late for cg? Who is the one who, when her niece was born, included me in the list of receipients to get first hand news? Who is the one, who not afraid of being scolded or "preached" at, openly shared her thoughts? These and many more has made me feel that leading her is a blessing. Im sure Im not the only one who feels this way.

Janet, to me, will always be the gal with a good heart. a heart to serve, a heart for God.
Happy Birthday my dear. Continue to seek Him and see how His purposes unfold even more in your life!

Weekend's been uber cool! LOL! I led praise during CG, well, not to my expectation cos I'm still inexperienced. Luckily the crowd wasn't too big and they were all smiley and supportive. Emphasis on God rather than my blunders and errors. Praises be to God!

Zoe's word on the things unseen and seen, how to give birth to things in the seen world from the unseen, certainly made a stand in all of our lives. At times when we feel that our friends are actually not interested at all, we should think of how and what we can do instead. Transforming the present situation to something we would love to see.

We as Christians have the "keys" and this is the authority to bind and loose in Heaven. What we allow, will manifest. What we don't, diminish. Simple but will we remember this in times of need? To shut things that are bad and put a stop to it. To allow God's ways to manifest in our lives. Will we?

3 basic truths that we should know and they are..

1) We are responsible for the condition of our environment.

2) They key to change is in our hands.

3) We bind and loose through our prayers. ( read Matthew 18: 18-19 )

For truth number 3, we emphasize on verse 19. I'm sure all of you know this verse. In order for prayers to be powerful and be a medium of intercession, 2 or 3 must come together in agreement. So, let's not neglect the power of group prayers from this year onwards, yea?

So, since we are equipped with the authority, what can we do with it? Of course we can bring revival! But how? We need to understand that we are the Agents of Change. The deciding factor for revival to happen? That's Us. We must take ownership of our lives, not be victims of circumstances. God has empowered us with the authority and it's now up to us to make things happen. Are you on the cutting edge? =)

With the authority given from God, we can use it on 7 areas in our lives, friends' and family members' lives.

1) Health

2) Ability ( Gifts & talents )

3) Relationships

4) Vision ( Dreams and Goals )

5) Emotional Life

6) Spiritual Life

7) Thought Life

7 areas brings us Harvest. Use the authority entrusted to you on people's lives around you. Harvest shall be brought in.

Oh yes, to end it off, let's all remember what Rev. Dr. A.R Bernard said yesterday.

We are the authority, the power. Not just a representation or saying "I have power." But without the Holy Spirit, none could ever correctly represent Jesus. Other people are caught up in religious ties, but we don't. We have a relationship with God, like close friends. When we have the Holy Spirit, we can then correctly bring Jesus to the unsaved.

argh i cant believe this. today's service was sooo short and diana preached on BGR! like why must all the good things happen when im not able to attend today's church stuff. :(

after service was spent in MLLM or banana mian, and entertainment was provided by kelvin and debbie. kelvin sang his own warped versions of chinese new year songs while the rest of us were occupied gorging down our noodles (fried rice for benedict). post-dinner entertainment by debbie, showcasing her talent of being banana girl, trying to read chinese properly BUT failed miserably! seriously, worm king?! haha

AND! AND! we all planned to mass flood b.darren with birthday messages! and 8 of us were like huddled in a group typing type type type on our phones. it took some time for us to all get ready to press SEND at the same time, and it was hilarious! and thinking that his phone would be vibrating or ringing continuously for like a few minutes and him getting the shock of his life, :D

God is indeed worthy of praise.

Through all the bad times and good times..He's always worthy.Cgm was wonderful,sv was great with Rev.phil pringle yst..Everything,even some little things that sometimes we tend to take advantage of..Nevertheless,we praise God with our testimony,sharing of songs,sharing of the Word.It really brings joy to me and every wkend i feel recharged by the power of God.It takes me somewhere great,having a feeling so wonderful,so precious that i can't described.I feel the love of God more than anything else in the world.

Watched sv on9 today,he painted the crucification.It was really awesome.It reminds me of His love for us,how he took away the curse by sacrificing His blood and flesh.

Many a times,our subconscious mind thinks we're not healed and the devil tries to bring us down by putting negative thoughts in our mind and trying His best to move us away from God.But,we really got to programme our mind to think 'I AM SAVED'.God is a good God and through all the times of difficulties that we face,He saved us..Remember all the things that happen?the miracles..?Events that took place and falls into place so so nicely without you even knowing.Yes,there that's the power of God.Things that you can't explain but the first thing in mind is 'Thank you Jesus,thank you'

So guys,it's all coming to the end of 2007..Let's take this last 1.5 months to reach out to the lost or even simple things like strengthening relationship with family or friends,all the little steps you take in bringing your friends and family to church,know that God is always working with you.So GAMBATEK!

It's 10.58 a.m on a Sunday morning. I'm watching the service live on the Net. The power of God flowing through the speakers into my ears. I would say, overwhelming. It's this feeling that everyone desires every week. What more can I say, God is great.

In the midst of Arise and Build, seeing the total pledged amount, let us all as a Cell Group in Christ's Body, encourage each other to fight the war of faith and receive blessings that already have been placed in our lives. Let us all not forget what Pastor Kong has taught us about giving. Not forgetting the testimonies we've all heard. Believe we can share our testimonies before the crowd and let everyone know, that we serve a savior and a King who has already placed a great destiny in Us.

Looking at all that He's done around us and over the world, we know for sure that He is alive and hearing all of us every moment. During our down times and happy times, remember Him. Thank you Lord, my Best Friend.

The Bible tells us that worry will choke the Word of God and make it of no effect. Can you imagine that? Worry can actually stop the powerful Word of God from working. We must understand that worry is not something to be played with or to be taken lightly. Worry is the proof that faith is absent!

We cannot worry and walk in faith at the same time. The moment faith enters is the moment worry must exit. It is interesting to note that when we worry we are documenting that we don’t believe what God said. Remember, God’s greatest pleasure is to be believed and His greatest disappointment is when He is doubted. What does our worry say about our faith in God?

Although we may get excited about the principles taught to us on Sunday it will take us refusing worry on Monday to see God's Word manifest in our lives. Never forget, when worry knocks at your door let the Word of God answer! Trust me, worry will flee in terror.

hey everyone belonging the wonderful cg of w429!

this is my first entry on this blog. =)
Firstly, i wanna thank everyone for your encouragement during this period of time. Without it, i dont think i will be able to last until now. even though i may not be able to join you guys for cgm now, you guys still never fail to ask me how am i doing and continually encouraging me to do well! LOVES!
the A levels are in 14 days time. and it means this grueling period is gonna end! yay!! haha
so i will be able to fellowship more with you guys le. =)

ppl please pray for me kkz! and also for terri as she is going thru her Os now/soon? all of us should know how stressful the O level period is rights? :)

Just to update what happened yst nite..=)
Well,we had a cantonese pastor from another church who came over to my grandparents yst night.We had a mini outreach to them.The pastor was from a church near City Hall but it's more for the elderly and cause it's like a family pastor and they know some of my aunties inside the church and they speak cantonese.

Well,yeah..we talked about God and his unfailing love,and the Good News..How Jesus was sacrificed and how He live inside us and He has broken sin for us so that we can reunite with our Lord.There was a simple book which tells u all about God and it explain pretty clearly to my gramps. And also,not many pple know my granny has the extreme case of Alzheimer's Disease..Sometimes she can't even remember our names and goes to the street and starts yelling at strangers and thinking everyone is my mother or her husband.

However,God has been good..Towards the end,there was this page which wrote 'God's way' or 'Your Way'..The pastor told them to choose and she said in Cantonese she wants to live God's way and pointed at the pic and also when she was asked where God is,she said He lives in our heart and we were quite surprised but pleasantly and with that,my grandma and my dad who was there said the Sinner's prayer and got saved..My grandfather is still quite cool about it but i believe there's gonna be another round of revival coming..Now,there's just left is grandpa and my dad's mum..

What Ps Kong say is definitely true,when there's a christian in a household,slowly but surely the Lord will do miracles in the family and get the whole family save.It was really great to see that my mum who had always objected me to go to church has opened up and she,herself has been attending church regularly near our place..

God has always been so real to me.

It's me again! Just wanna do a short update on what's been happening in my life. I've been very busy in camp and I'm so happy that this Wednesday will be the last. My friends who will be flying to Australia for training will be departing and I'll be able to relax and have some time to myself in camp, finally..

Yea, and as everyone knows, we are having plans for an outing on the 3rd Saturday or Sunday this October, so people, do remember to take actions and be of service and blessing to your friends. Be it financially or just catching up with their lives. It'll be a worthwhile thing to do when soul-winning comes to pass in your CG. I'm sure we are really motivated to win souls and multiply our CG after our CGM yesterday. With the exams around the corner, like what Pastor Kong always say, this is the time where Christians should shine. Let the lost see why we can cope with stress and even outperform ourselves everytime. Lend a helping hand or a hearing ear to them so they know we are friends they can count on.

Eventually, we'll be able to see new faces amongst us. So after you've read this post, be reminded of what you're supposed to do; think of a friend and sow a seed in his/her heart. If everyone can at least bring a friend for the outreach, it'll be a roaring success and we can bring a smile to God in heaven!

Yo yO YO! Beloved people of W429! My first post on this blog. *grins*

First things first, credits and kudos goes to Debbie and Janet for coming up with this wonderful and gorgeous (sounds familiar?) blog. The layout really brings about tranquility! And with the nice song playing in the background, anyone would've stayed on longer to check out this place.

I would also like to thank Diana for taking the challenge of taking this cell group under her wing and daring us to believe that we will become a stronger and closer family.

Anyways, to cut the long story short, my laptop's down and won't be up anytime soon. I'm looking for a way to get back online when I book out from camp so I can keep up with the pace of you guys. Okay now, let me move on to what my vision of how W429 will become.

I truly hope that W429 will see things happening that have never been imagined.. The quality of fellowship, time spent and the effort to make events and dreams (BIG and small) come true for each of us. I believe in everyone of us, there's something that we can do to make a HUGE difference. I mean it. Knowing that we can challenge each other, eventually moving to new heights. So, hit each other with your best shots.

A Great Start

hello gorgeous people of w429!
I shall post before i fly off or else i can't post anything for the next 2weeks..*sob*

Well,I really am glad i'm in this cell group,i really feel strongly for you all.There's something about all of you that's genuine and unpretentious and it makes me want to be around with you guys more often.It's like i can talk about anything with you..It's very comfortable being with you all every weekend.Hopefully when most of you have ended your very A's and O's..we'll hang out even more often not just on weekends bt also on weekdays where the sisterly and brotherly bonds will be fostered more strongly yeah?=D

Our cg may be small right now and many aren't able to make it for service due to NS commitment but us the minority shall be the ones to bring the presence of God even closer to us and continue to pray for those who are not able to make it.Like diana said in the past,they have not backslidded and for that record, i'm extremely proud with our NS guys,like they make the commitment to come for cg and sv and reaching out to their bunkmates and to also serve the Lord no matter how tired they are,and the best thing is they don't show any ounce of tiredness when they come and they are ever so ready to praise/worship the Lord.So,to Wenlong,Anxian,Weijie,Junwei,Kelvin,CheeKian..WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!

God is good right?Of course he is,we should bring forth greater level in our walk with God and raising the standard in our cg which Diana have stressed over the past few weeks and little little things that make it great..eg,being on time?i know i'm terrible cause im late most of the time and for that i apologise to Diana.I promise I'll do my best and choose my clothes before sat comes and wake up 30mins earlier than before to doll up so i won't be late..Time is precious people and we don't want to look back and regret not doing this and that yeah?^^

haha,and for those who can sew,cook,play instrument(Terri,u still owe us your harp performance arz..^^),sing,act,host and everything..Let's be a cg where even uncovered talents can be discovered and use it to reach out to your family and friends yeah?=) and To all whom are still in school and having their exams,we are all behind you!!=D let God reign in your school work.Yeah,walk in the exam hall fearlessly for God's hand is upon you and have faith in Him and trust that you'll do really well and get all the grades you want!Gambate!^^Keep mugging for you really Reap What You Sow..=)We are people of faith right? and so whatever we do,we have the favour from God.So let the supernatural take over you and you'll see God moving greater in your life.

The purpose of us.

Have you ever wondered why we are doing what we are doing every week? Why we are meeting up for cg meeting and sitting together for service? If the reason you are thinking in your head now is "because we are in the same cell group.." then you need to re-think.

Every single one of us is special in this group. More than a cell group identified with the collective name of W429, my sincere hope is that we can be a group of good friends. The purpose of us is to experience life together.

Let's aim for real fellowship. Real fellowship is not superficial, surface level chit chat. Real fellowship is not pretending, politicking, role-playing and superficial politeness. It is not about wearing a mask and acting as if everything is rosy in our lives.
Let's aim to build reciprocal relationships, sharing responsiblities and helping each other.

That is also the purpose of this blog. Let's encourage one another, share our revelations and be a blessing to each other. Love you guys!
